Good times, at EP’s birthday after-party, with Raj at The Arena. Such times will probably have to take a backseat though for now, because Raj flew off to Australia today, to study medicine at Monash. I went to send him off with Marcus, and we were probably the only two Chinese guys there, haha. It’s a mark of how well-regarded Raj is, looking at the number of friends who came to send him off.
My JC classmate, my soccer vice-captain, the midfield general a.k.a “The Black Hole”, my pool buddy, but most of all, one of my closest and bestest brothers. Perhaps always late, but ultimately, always there in the end. It’s been an absolute honor and pleasure to have known you, Raj. Words can’t express how I feel.
Departures are sometimes bittersweet, and this certainly was. I am sad to see you leave, but I am glad you are able to pursue your dreams. As Jason put it, you will forever be our distinguished son. Goodbye, but not farewell. Take good care of yourself; I’ll see you in June (:
